A local to the area, Dr. Lu was born and raised in Davis, California. As a child, his love for candy led him to frequent the dental office where he had amazing experiences with his pediatric dentist. These formative experiences inspired Dr. Lu to become a dentist himself.
Dr. Lu attended the University of the Pacific for his undergraduate degree in biological sciences where he graduated magna cum laude. After completing his undergraduate studies, he went on to fulfill his lifelong dream of becoming a dentist by attending the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry.
He graduated with honors and was recognized for his achievements in pediatric dentistry with the “Warren Family Endowment Award for Outstanding Dental Care for Children by a Senior Student.”
With a passion for working with kids, Dr. Lu continued his education after dental school at the nationally regarded Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin residency program to obtain his certificate of specialty in pediatric dentistry. As a specialist, Dr. Lu has received advanced education in child psychology, child development, management of oral-facial trauma, oral conscious sedation, general anesthesia, and the management of kids with medical complexities and special needs.
In his free time, Dr. Lu enjoys spending time with friends and family, working out, and playing volleyball.
